Growing conservation impact through science communication, storytelling, and social media
ABOUT ME
I'm a science communication professional passionate about wildlife conservation and connecting people with the natural world. I currently manage social media for Cabrillo Marine Aquarium and Heal the Bay Aquarium, where I create engaging digital content that inspires conservation action and public engagement.
I earned a B.S. in Environmental Science with a minor in Conservation Biology from UCLA, followed by a Master's in Biology with a focus on science communication through Miami University and the San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance's Advanced Inquiry Program.
My background combines environmental science, conservation biology, and digital media, allowing me to translate complex scientific topics into accessible, compelling stories. Whether developing social media campaigns, creating educational content, or sharing wildlife stories, my goal is to make conservation meaningful and inspire people to protect our planet.

How can social media support conservation organizations?
Social media supports conservation organizations by reaching over 5 billion users worldwide and, since 2025, serving as the leading source of news in the U.S. A strong social media presence can increase donations, recruit volunteers, boost event participation, encourage pro-conservation behaviors, sustain funding, and influence social norms and policy change.
