Heal the Bay Aquarium Productions
In addition to supporting Community Programs at Heal the Bay Aquarium, including nature interpretation, beach cleanups, and environmental education, I manage the Aquarium's social media and contribute to communications across the broader organization.
I develop and produce original short-form video content from concept to completion, including scripting, filming, and editing. My work has generated more than 2 million views, increased reach by over 90%, and driven a 28,797% increase in engagement, helping connect new audiences with marine conservation.

A Special Shoutout to Gordita the Giant Sea Bass

A video I created featuring Gordita, the aquarium's giant sea bass, reached more than 2 million views across platforms and played a key role in the following Giving Tuesday campaign, which raised over $40,000 for Heal the Bay.
That experience showed me the power of digital communications to generate widespread support for conservation organizations—even for species that aren't traditionally considered charismatic. It was this realization that inspired me to pursue a career in science communication.
Nearly two years after Gordita's first viral video, she was released back into the wild in March 2026. I documented her release after her digital storytelling campaign had generated more than 2.8 million views across platforms.
The campaign culminated in a release video that earned 2nd place in SeaLegacy's 2026 video contest, recognizing its impact in communicating marine conservation through visual storytelling. (Official announcement: June 30, 2026.)
Who knew a giant sea bass would shape my career? I'll always be grateful to Gordita for inspiring my path into science communication.
